You know how you meet someone for the very first time and you just know you'll be good friends? That's what happened when I first met Lynn. She liked my puns, my silly jokes, didn't mind being teased. When ever we managed to get together we laughed and talked and laughed some more.
That laughter has been stilled. She is no longer in pain. Rest in peace, Lynn. I will miss you.
So many of my friends are not here in person, but through the avenue of the internet I can stay in touch with them, some on a daily basis. But nothing beats getting together in person, exchanging smiles, hugs, laughter.
Consider yourself hugged today, even if it is just a cyber hug. You are all precious to me.
And if we should meet in person? I'm a hugger....

I'm so sorry for your loss, Laura. The Internet is good for so many things, but not so great for hugs. Consider yourself hugged back. With much love.
ReplyDeleteWhen we meet, you will surely get a hug.

HUGS!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me know that Lynn has gone. I hadn't heard any more from Ken and you just hate to intrude at a time like that.
ReplyDeleteShe was my friend too and will be much missed by me and anyone else she touched.
Susan
I always enjoyed Lynn's humor and enthusiasm. I will miss her, too.
ReplyDeleteWeave something wonderful in her memory, something to keep for yourself. That way, she'll always be with you - a textile hug!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear your news. The loss of a friend is a very big loss indeed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to remember your friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm attaching a hug here for you--reach out and take it from your screen, wrap it around yourself, and squeeze. Repeat as necessary. :)
So sorry for your loss. And considered yourself (cyber)hugged right back!
ReplyDeleteLynn was a weaver of many types of things, from shoelaces to small tapestries and fabric for clothing. Remember how she loved dying cloth with mud? She also was a spinner, felter, and I'm sure other fiber methods as well. Even when I was gone from the guild for many months, each time I could get back, I would search her out for that welcome hug.
ReplyDeleteSending you a hug Laura. A friend you can share silly jokes with is special, sad you have lost your friend Lynn.
