April Spools Day

Meg has challenged weavers to post photos of their spools/bobbins.

basket tied to my bench holding shuttles and bobbins - which are mostly empty as I finished the spring green towels last night - my shuttles and bobbins are from Leclerc

pirns for fly shuttle - I have an industrial pirn winder and fly shuttles/pirns

So much nicer than April Fool's Day, don't you think?  Thought I'd include a shot of the pirn winder, too.

Good Deity, that is a monster winder!

Yes, it is. And noisy, too. But it produces perfect pirns every time. :)

cheers,

My pirns are terrible. I have an end feed shuttle that I love but I
just can't wind a decent pirn.
I have pirn envy!!

I love these glimpses into your studio. The machinery, the colors, everything.

You had mentioned in a prior post not having a place to put your heddle hook, IIRC. I was thinking that you could anchor a pill bottle, one of those amber things in the larger size, into the corner of that basket, and that could hold your heddle hook, and other tall miscellany.
